Video Player Requirements

To view our high quality videos you must have a broadband connection and a browser with Flash version 8.0 or newer installed. The Flash player can easily be upgraded by visiting the Adobe Flash Download Center and following the directions outlined there. If you are experiencing problems viewing the video verify you are using a browser capable of displaying flash and have the flash player installed and enabled. Slow connections may experience periodic video delays and pauses.

Video Upload Requirement

Petvideo.com can accept videos in a wide variety of common formats. We ask that videos be brief at about 2 minutes or less and are no larger the 10 megs. Preferred formats include Quicktime, AVI, and Window Media Player. Given the large file sizes involved the uploading procedure can take several minutes. So please be patient. Once the file is received it must go through our automated format converter and manual validation before appearing on the site. This typically occurs within about 30 minutes so be sure to check back to see your video. Petvideo.com reviews all videos that are submitted and has the right to reject video for any reason.

Comment control

If comments are posted by users viewing a video you have supplied you have the ability to delete them at your discretion. Petvideo.com staff also review comments to make sure they are appropriate and in the spirit of this site and community.

Terms of video submission

All submissions become the property of Petvideo.com and will not be returned. Users warrant that their videos are their own original creation, do not violate the rights of any other person or company (including but not limited to copyrights), and do not contain offensive, defamatory, vulgar or profane content, as determined by Petvideo.com. Videos that do not comply with these Rules shall be rejected. By submitting a video, each user grants permission, without further compensation, to the PetVideo.com and their agents and licensees to use the entrant's name, pet’s name, voice, photograph, likeness and biographical material (and the name, voice, photograph, likeness and biographical material of any other person(s) or pet(s) depicted in the video) and the video itself in any medium of communication now known or hereinafter devised including, without limitation, print, Internet, radio and/or television throughout the world and for any purpose, including advertising, promotional or other purposes. Submission of an entry will constitute the user’s representation that each person depicted in the video has consented to the foregoing, and upon request, each entrant shall provide proof that such permission was obtained from any other person depicted in the video. By uploading a video, each user agrees that if requested, he or she will sign a release and waiver of liability.
